Carlsberg Vs Tiger @ Sunway Giza

April 22, 2021 – 4:08 pm Comments Off

This is the first time I see a head on collision between this 2 brands after covering so many of their event in between these few years. Not too sure because we got limited good big areas or accidental both collide the event on the same day and same place.

Carlsberg is doing “Meet The Legends” at Movida with big screen setup. The turn was great, I can see the amount of people that fill up the place. After the face game some of the ex-Liverpool turn up to meet the fans.

Then you have Tiger with their Tiger FC event with Beer Factory. Both screen are back to back but facing an opposite direction. The Tiger FC screen is huge, the turn out was good too.

Verdict
It’s scary to have the 2 big boys organise the event at the same spot. The noise pollution is massive inside Sunway Giza. I quite pity shops/restaurant nearby. Is good for business for the pubs but I quite doubt it help the surrounding F&B. This is the first time I see head on collision between 2 brands on the same place. In the end, I guess consumer that came and watch football will have a good time. What you think? Should they organise event side by side?

Petaling Jaya, 18 September 2020 – Award-winning Tiger Beer’s innovative football offering, Tiger Street Football which started its campaign in Asia this April successfully ended its search for the Kings of the Streets. The world-class street football tournament saw team ADC Florianopolis of Brazil winning the first Tiger Street Football Tournament and walking away with the grand prize of USD30,000 after a stunning display of sublime street play throughout the day.

Today’s grand finals saw qualifying teams from Malaysia, Singapore, China, Thailand and Vietnam as well as two invited professional street football teams from Brazil and Holland battling it out in high winning spirits, they fought to  the last whistle in the fast-paced, adrenalin-pumping game.

Tiger Street Football is a fresh and innovative consumers experiential offering from Tiger Beer through its Tiger FC platform that engages football fans with a total football experience; from the best football viewing parties, to the best online football games engagements and now bringing the edgiest football action to the streets of Malaysia.

However, it was seamless teamwork coupled with the timely wit of ADC Florianopolis from Brazil that gave them the much needed edge to beat the Street Legends 4-1, in an exhilarating match amidst loud cheers from the spectators.

“We are absolutely overjoyed to emerge as the Tiger Street Football Grand Champions! It has indeed been an incredible journey for us as a team, and we have spent countless hours training and sharpening our skills to put up a good fight in this tournament. It was a fantastic experience to play on such an international platform of street football and we are definitely looking forward to more great football events by Tiger,” said Denison Cabral, captain of ADC Florianopolis.

Bangkok’s famed Exotic Band kept the crowd up on their feet with their infectious beats, while DJ Knatz, a familiar face in Bangkok’s local music scene, kept the volume up and lively throughout the day.
