Sid’s Pub Bukit Tunku is my last stop of the Guinness St Patrick’s event for this year. It happen on a Sunday afternoon. The weather is a bit moody on that day. Is been raining for the pass whole week during afternoon time. So everyone is keeping their finger cross that no rain will fall.

Around 1pm, the place is a bit slow. Only few tables of crowd came in. But the performers are all set up to perform once the good crowd are here. Even the little green man are telling people where to look for the pot of black gold… haha

Around 2pm, the performers came in with music, whistle, cheering and shouting to boost up the atmosphere. It was always fun to have good cheering in this kind of event. Still got not much crowd, as many are worried about the rain I guess or still sleeping in their bed… haha

Just before 3pm, our finger crossed no more as the rain came tumbling down and everyone all stay inside the gazebo with long grim face. But what’s good is the people get together closer and enjoy more of the company. Snapping pictures, buying food to eat, even make some new friends. The rain maybe bad for outdoor event, but the shaded place bring a new light to the grim rain.

When the rain is over, the carnival was once again back to action! Suddenly the amount of people double up. I’m not sure where the people come from, the party suddenly come alive. Once the rain stop, the people just gush out from no where. Maybe they are hiding in the car during the rain… haha

The turn out by then was really good, it was so good that the parade was restart again beside the puddles of water on the ground, no one even remember it was rain like 10 minutes ago.

Everyone is enjoying the cloudy day, holding a drinks in hand, walking around chatting with friends, lining up for more beers, taking pictures with friends… is just non stop of enjoying yourself a good Sunday afternoon.

Is not easy to go in the event area without saying “excuse me/sorry”. The place is pack, everywhere is people standing around with a Guinness in hand.

The pub itself is also pack. Seldom you see guys lining up to use the urinal. Damn is nice to see so many people around on a good Sunday drink. That’s why I always like Sunday afternoon event. When will be my next Thirsty Sunday?

The crowds are entertain by the performers down there. With the crowd requested that the 2 Guinness mascot kiss – what can they do beside doing it… kesian!

Some are train to balance the plate. Of course many would not spot the biggest celebrities in this picture. Geoff would know this! Because everyone is having fun, everyone can enjoy a good day fun!

With Guinness at RM5 per cup, is time for many to show of their drinking skill. Some drank more then others, some just chill and cheers with friends.

Of course with so many people around, accidents do happen as well. Pure wastage beer feeding to the ground so that the black goodness can be enjoy by the worms and bacteria, as to think positive about the waste.

The sun may not shine after the rain or the rainbow didn’t show us where the pot of golds. Yet everyone is happy to be there, enjoying a good laugh and cheer. Granting out all the frustration before the next monday blue hits.

Is an awesome event, the rain was believe to be a turn down but when it stop a new life of party begins. There must be a lot people singing “Rain, Rain go away, little Patrick want to Play!”.
The enjoyment of the event can be the beer, can be the company, can be the entertainers, can be the crowd, the weather, the friends, the food, the rain but the bottom line is this, everyone felt good and nice about it. Cheers people, till the next big Sunday afternoon event! Sláinte!
