The Beers
Craftbeers from American, British to Belgium. From Lager, India Pale Ale to Porter, the varieties of beer will spoil you for choice. If the bottled beers variety is not enough, there’s 15 taps with fresh from the kegs are served everyday. Proceed to the counter and look for the friendly bartender for what they have to offer that day on draft.

The Food
Beer is definitely the theme here. As if the vast amount of beer selection is not enough, the food is inspired and infused with beer. With good selection of bar bites, pizza, burgers and ribs for the protein hungry patrons, the food will not disappoint.

Amager Bryghus Vinter IPA

February 12, 2021 – 9:00 am Comments Off

20140208-175050.jpg

When the beer poured out?
Refreshing green fruity smell.

How’s the taste?
Very small hint of acidity and sweetness with a strong body. Hoppy finishing with lingering bitterness creates a sophisticated flavour on the after taste.

What’s the colour of the beer?
Pale brown

Where to drink?
Brewers’ Craft, while stocks are still available

My Opinion:
To the nose the refreshing smell of fruity lychee from the hop is a great drink for the hot weather, as one would expect from an good American style IPA. However, as it gets warmer the taste became flat and not prominent. The taste character of a complex IPA is lost and became plainly bitter with hop. Advise is, keep this one chilled all the time when consumed since it comes in the 500ml bottle.

Fuller’s India Pale Ale

When the beer poured out?
Light faint fruity sweetness on the nose.

How’s the taste?
The first gulp light bitter entry, fruity bitter like pomelo. Then it linger this nice aroma of fruity sweetness. The body is smooth yet crispy when drink it. The beer don’t have much finishing until you drink half of it that you notice more pomelo like fruity sweetness developing at the back of the mouth.

What’s the colour of the beer?
Pale dark orange brown.

Where to drink?
Will come in this year to Malaysia.

My Opinion:
The nose is flat, but the taste make out for it. Is not the usual american hoppy IPA which give lots of bitter taste to it. The bitter linger for a while then the fruity sweetness took over. Simple easy drinking IPA that can easily pair with food with little spice. I may want to pair this with thai spice food. The fruitiness does quite well after drinking a few more gulp. Cheers!

Elysian Immortal IPA

When the beer poured out?
Nice sweet malt with citrusy hoppy aroma

How’s the taste?
The entry is very easy to drink, have a very nice body with hoppy taste with light sweetness and a dot of bitter. As you drink along the bitter became slightly more sharp. At 6.3% abv, the beer does have some hint of citrusy bitter after taste but not that strong.

What’s the colour of the beer?
Pale yellowish brown.

Where to drink?
Drank it at Singapore during Beerfest Asia 2012.

My Opinion:
The name and the beer doesn’t gel that much, is quite an easy going IPA. Was hopping for a strong IPA. Overall is quite nice and easy to go by IPA. Plus is not so hoppy, so is quite easy to accept by many.

Aooni India Pale Ale

October 9, 2020 – 9:21 am Comments Off

This India Pale Ale beer brewed by Yo-Ho, the same brewery that churn out Tokyo Black porter.

The appearance of this beer poured out a cloudy orangy bronze, foam thin and frothy white.

Smell sweet malty and quite a hint of citrusy hops, a fruity note, quite appealing to the nose, no trace of bitter.. very sly nose..

Poured into the cup, and take a full gulp, its pretty malty, a decent spicy tones, with citrusy hops like the nose, and here is the sly thing, the bitterness kicks in.. not a strong one..

Mouthfeel is smooth, carbonation is moderate, and quite balance finish.

I find this IPA quite easy to drink, would definitely enjoy another rounds,.. a good IPA.

Had this at Taps Beer Bar, you can find this at Ales & Lagers too.
