No.4 Barfly @ Solaris Dutamas rank quite up there, bargain beer does create a lot of awareness in this market.

No.6 Women Breast? How the hell women breast when to top 10 on our search? Maybe I have some nude picture hidden some where there… haha

No.10 Hoegaarden, this is the beer that change a lot of non beer drinkers to drink beer. still stay strong. Very good.

‘Where’s The Party?’ Delivers An Epic Adventure!

November 21, 2020 – 2:17 pm Comments Off

Carlsberg’s unique ‘Where’s The Party?’ event recently brought its entourage to the Pearl of the Orient – Penang for the one-of-its-kind party this year. Action packed with a marathon of games, assembly of international music maestro’s and ice cold Carlsberg beer, and the event was a rally of energetic vibes from beginning to end.

The distinct party series offers young party-goers the ultimate party experience. The mystery event hones in on consumers’ natural fascination with the unknown and challenges the curiosity of those who are bold enough to step out of their comfort zone for greater excitement and rewards.

According to Soren Ravn, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia, the ‘Where’s The Party?’ series is a counterweight to the commercialization of how most music events happen these days. “This event is gaining immense popularity in Malaysia and is being stamped as an iconic party experience. The platform allows our consumers to get down with an edgy vibe that is completely unique. Coupled with the unknown adventure factor; ‘Where’s The Party?’ offers a complete experiential journey that you would definitely not get anywhere else.”

“Every detail of the party is meticulously brewed together. Consumers were transported on an epic crusade as soon as they made it onto the guests list, ensuring the experience remains extraordinary,” Ravn added

Entering its third wave this year, the first ever 3-Nation party saw 1,200 guests from Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore finding themselves on the shores of Hard Rock Hotel’s beachfront.

Partygoers congregated in droves at Queensbay Mall before boarding their respective buses to the hotel where they were greeted by a welcome crew of hostesses and percussionists. After check-ins, the event kicked-off with enthused guests darting towards the event site.

To keep spirits on a high-note, beach volley ball, a tug-of-war zone and a limbo-rock area occupied invitees as Twilight Action Girl spun a slew of hypnotic electro dance beats. DJ Nikki soon took over the decks rippling out chill-out house anthems, building the momentum for the main party zone.

Decked with a massive LED paneled stage, the central zone was outlined with a flow of streaking, spinning colours and a dance ‘cage’ in the middle of it all. Opening with Soren Ravn, jet-skiing into the party zone; the grand entrance made for a great kick-off introduction, followed by a beat boxing battle between Shawn Lee and the charming MD himself aka Star Rapper. Guests were throwing out constant cheers before celebrity hosts Joey G and Patricia K took the stage.

While a visual playground of lights danced across the sea of people, and pyros made for stimulating retina-seduction, Mad August a.k.a Crossfire had music lovers jumping around with enthusiasm. Rubberband then brought the house down with a 45 minute-set of no-frills Cantopop tunes, while the famous Love Cubic dancers from Korea chugged out hot moves to commercial favourites.

Genre-defying Dubstep and electro house pushed the tempo as DJ Inquisitive took on the wheels of steel causing dance mayhem in the ‘cage’. The tribal, percussive beats that cannot quite be classified left hands in the air and feet on constant overdrive.

Focusing more than ever on dance music with hits that flowed like a DJ set, left-field R&B and hip-hop diva Kelis was next on the line-up, and made her mark with pop-dance hybrids that left partyers craving for more. Throwing shape-shifting instrumental segues into the mix; the set brought the party into full swing.

Bringing it back to the eclectic sounds of Dubstep and electro house, producer and DJ Norman Doray surfed in and jacked-up the audience with a melodic treat of progressive sounds. DJ Mayumi then closed the night with superb hip-hop tones that left everyone shaking like a Polaroid picture.

The night ended on an astronomical level as revelers made their way back to their respective rooms in high-spirits and audible chatter. Making yet another experience an epic one, Carlsberg’s ‘Where’s The Party?’ showcased one of the most entertaining parties to hit punters, and the anticipation is already bursting at the seams for the next chapter.

The knowledge and awareness amongst consumers on the significance of responsible drinking is Carlsberg Malaysia’s top priority. The brewer deployed employee-ambassadors to encourage consumers to party and consume beer in moderation as part of its efforts in advocating responsible drinking.

So There’s The Party…

By now many have known where is the location of this epic party. But I don’t thing I need to reveal here as it’s not fair for the organiser, as it is more fun to find out as a surprise then a the knowledge. 1U Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest Is Still Epic

October 10, 2020 – 9:34 am Comments Off

1U Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest 2012 by Carlsberg happening last Friday to Sunday was freaking awesome. The crowd was great, the beer was flowing, the adrenaline was pumping, it was an awesome night.

The live band performance really lift up the crowd party mood. Is like a concert with lots of beers and foods going around. Enjoying a big party under the tent. Inside the center tent is freaking hot but yet the atmosphere was rock on!

There are some games at the back, which for me is just some added fun, the main event is at the stage. This year the stage was at the vertical point, so almost everyone can see what’s going on compare to last year horizontal setup, where the 2 sides miss out most of the action.

When the Oppa Gangnam Style music is played, you can see from front to back that almost everyone is doing the horse dance steps. Imagine few thousand people doing a dance together and make silly move among each other. It was way to entertaining and fun. Is sure rock on big time.

Of course, how can we miss out the 1L stein mug which pack most of the tables as many would buy and collect the mugs.

Some table even stack it high up to show the mighty box tower. It was a great fun night, I would say this is one of the best beer party this year. With almost the same kind of action like last year, but just by switching the stage arrangement, the whole fun got even bigger and enjoyable. So much interaction from the performers and the crowd. Maybe it will be even bigger, more fun and excitement next year. Cheers!

The Better Beer Festival 2012 @ Taps Beer Bar

October 3, 2020 – 9:44 am 2 Comments

Last Saturday is one of the Epic day in Malaysia beer drinking scene and an adventurous beer drinkers dream. It was The Better Beer Festival 2012 held by Taps Beer Bar to showcase craft beers to the local market.

With 14 taps keep changing after finish the previous draught flow is too awesome for the beer event. Plus 14 different type of beer on the Taps making even more interesting for everyone to keep trying.

Of course the beer doesn’t end there, the bottles selection on that day was crazy. More then 50 types of beer serving on that day.

Honestly, I was drooling all the way just by looking at the beer least. This my friend is really a small scale beerfest suppose to be. I was so excited, I didn’t manage to take much picture in it. Plus I forget to mention, most of the beer on that day is priced from RM10 onwards, mostly RM15 which making it very affordable and below any market price.

Food selection was simple, wanton, hotdogs, steak fries, pizza and spicy meatballs all selling at RM5. My favourite is Wanton, as it was easy and juicy enough with beer.

The crowd was good, everyone mostly keep trying beers and asking about the beer information. Although on that night Arsenal and MU lost their game, the beer keep us going.

When near the end mostly are just too happy talking and enjoying the beer. Many are high and start to act funny but it was a happy occasion, everything was peaceful and very joyous.

I may not have took a lot of pictures for this event, but this is one of the most successful event for beer that I ever been in Malaysia. Hope that next year, more craft beers enthusiast will join in the fun. This time around they have crowd from some parts of Malaysia and Singapore to join in the fun. Look forward to more event like this. Cheers!
