Bud Light

Had this during BT in Puerto Rico, April 2007.
Watched lots of funny advertisement about this beer, quite excited upon discovered this beer in one of the local mart. I bought more than a dozen of them, 7 fl oz, ~207ml bottle @ 4.2% ABV. Kept them refrigirated in my apartment and took one every night while counting stars on the balcony.
Rice are used in this brew. Nothing on the nose. Barely any flavour on the palate with light hint of sweetness. Extremely light-bodied, almost watery. Well, basically carbonated water, just to sum up everything. Serve super cold and it’s thirst quenching.
High drinkability? Yes. Do I highly recommend? No.
Just drink and forget.

I remember when I was in Malaysia, there wasn’t anything like local craft beer. Singapore was mostly the same until Paulaner Brauhaus opened. Now there are places like Archipelago (http://www.archipelagobrewery.com/) and Red Dot (http://www.reddotbrewhouse.com.sg/). Anything like those in MY?

So far many have come and research but still can’t find a loop hole to open a microbrewery in Malaysia. I myself is also finding a way how to do it, so that there is more choices of beer in Malaysia. Many microbrewery from Singapore have come to enquire about it, but so far without any result.

True. It’s interesting to compare Muslim country’s attitudes towards alchohol — Turkey & Morocco, Malaysia & Pakistan, Iran & Saudi Arabia.
