Carlsberg Malaysia’s Own Oktobefest Is Officially Started!

September 30, 2020 – 3:32 pm 6 Comments

For the first time, Carlsberg Malaysia has recreated the renowned Bavarian national festival, the Oktoberfest and bring it on to Malaysia beer drinkers.

Brought to you in grand style and splendour, the “Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest 2011″ features beer brand like Carlsberg, Erdinger Weissbier, Franziskaner Weissbier and Löwenbräu as well as authentic German cuisine by master chef, traditional live performances and loads of fun to encapsulate the event.

The festival, modeled after the Munich Okotberfest, runs from 21 Sep to 30 Oct 2020 at over 25 participating outlets and 18 markets squares throughout KL, Selangor, Penang, Seremban and Johor.

To mark this widely-celebrated festival, Carlsberg Malaysia boasts a month-long extravaganza to whet the appetite and barrels of Carlsberg, Erdinger Weissbier, Franziskaner Weissbier and Löwenbräu to be downed.

Through this promotion, Carlsberg Malaysia aims to bring the people together to savour the refreshing taste of Carlsberg and other German beers in a responsible manner as well as to enjoy the entertaining traditional live performances of the Oompah music. Carlsberg Malaysia officiated it’s “Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest 2011″ promotion at Berjaya Times Square Hotel, KL on 28 September. More then 900 beer enthusiasts join in the great fun and enjoying the traditional band performance of oompah music and indulged in the German cuisine prepared by German Chef Jochern Kern from Berjaya University College.

The launch is a joint collaboration with Berjaya University College of Hospitality and will showcase Carlsberg Malaysia as a local master brewer, beside offering other imported beers from Germany.

Beer enthusiasts will also stand a chance to win “The Ultimate Beer Tour” to Munich, Germany and Copenhagen, Denmark, with two friends by participating in the facebok contest.

To support this fantastic month-long opportunity presented to you by Carlsberg Malaysia where Oompah is at its best, log onto facebook and “like” Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest at its page and  find out more informations. Prost!

Barbar Beer Sorbet

September 30, 2020 – 9:19 am Comments Off

When I saw the Brux-Ale facebook picture posted up a beer Sorbet… I was excited as I’m lactose intolerant, so basically I can’t take diary’s product. So sorbet is good, as it only make with sugar.

The Barbar beer sorbet looks smooth and creamy. Barbar is a honey beer, so a lot of the character of the beer is inside the sorbet. Good choice of beer to make sorbet. At least you don’t need to worry to get a hoppy bitter sorbet… haha

The only thing to justify this sorbet is to finish it. Have to try, is really something nice. Cheers!
