Homebrew, I Wish It’s Legalise!

December 10, 2020 – 4:42 pm Comments Off

People always asked me can we brewed our own beer. Is a thin fine line that sometimes we ourselves not sure is it legal. Once a lawyer friend told us that is ok to brew your own beer but don’t shout it out too loud and don’t sell it. But to get the brewing ingredient is actually not as easy. Making it not easy to brew all the time. Of course the Malaysian Government are not very supportive to anything related to alcohol. Making us very worried to bring in ingredient that make beer.

If the G allow the people to brew, then many people will resort to brewing their own beer then drinking the commercial beer that are widely available with excessive tax. I for sure support home brewing as this will encourage people to create better localise ingredient beer that we may discover and call it our own.

2 big breweries in Malaysia and don’t allow any more new license to brew is a sad situation in this country. Many of my customers in Ales & Lagers was surprise that there are some many different tasting beers out there, some have even converting their friends to try out craft beer.

For now, we don’t even know which channel that we should asked for this to happen. Everything is so sensitive from religion to race. Once touch on alcohol, this country become overly sensitive on the issue. For now is just a dream that not even hope have any glimpse. Until the day we able to see this country more open minded. Cheers!
