August 31, 2010 - 10:01 am No Comments

A free beer event is always pack with people come to booze it all out. I attended a few this month. Below are the event I attended for this month.

10 August 2010
Finnegan’s 10th Anniversary @ Hartamas. I drank 3-4 pints of Guinness. It was a fun filled event that come with an hour of free flow beer. An hour of free flow is enough to make everyone happy. Plus almost all the beer at the tap are free flow except for Old Speckle Hens. You can see the draught pour non-stop that filled the beer glass that going out in fast pace.

12 August 2010
Next free beer event is Tiger Beer @ Asia Cafe, which saw hundreds of people lining up for free Tiger beer. Tiger was promoting their new packaging design. Each person who line up will get 4 cans of the Tiger. Even a non-drinker will line up and get their beer. Where I can see all sorts of people lining up for the free beer. Everyone will enjoy free beer.

15 August 2010
Then we have Thirsty Sunday @ Bakita. Beerbeer first co-join event with a pub. Because Beerbeer is the part organiser, I basically go thorough the event like a free beer event, tasting more then 15 types of beer on Sunday afternoon. If that is not enough, Jaz Fresh and Starker went all out giving free flow for their beer. Those who turn up enjoy the event. Everyone can taste all the beer on the exhibit like Estrella, Birra Moretti, Fuller’s ESB, Fuller’s London Porter, Asahi, Savanna, Erdinger Hefe and Dunkel, Chimay and many many more.

17 August 2010
Arthur’s Day Media launch at @live in Sunway Pyramid. Again another free flow party from 7pm-10pm all the way free flow of Guinness Draught, Guinness Foreign Extra and Guinness Premium Beer. Media event by all this big brewery is always fun.

19 August 2010
MonoWings @ TTDI plaza have their grand launch party. Inviting guess to enjoy the free flow from 6pm-9pm. 3 Hour of free flow Tiger will sure make anyone happy. The place is pack with people and it was a good night.

In between the short 9 days I went for 5 free flow event, that is equivalent to 2 days a free flow event on beer. It was tougher then I thought. Kesian my liver… haha

25 August 2010
Hoofed have their opening invite on last wednesday. Again free flow of Carlsberg and red wine. Plus a sumptuous of sinful fatty food. It was a good party serve with good food and free flow of beer. Very hard to resist this kind of temptation.

So what next for September, looking forward to find out how much free flow I will have. For sure one online will be Thirsty Sunday that will happen on 19 September.

Cheers people. Share your experience with us at Beerbeer “How to survive a free flow party?”

Now Everyone Can Drink!

MonoWings @ TTDI Plaza have their grand launch last Thursday. This pub is based on an airplane theme, which the whole place is decorate with airplane stuffs and accessories. Even the waitress are dawn in air stewardess outfit… which will make many man happy.

But I’m not too sure why they called MonoWings, I thought you need a pair of wing to fly… haha. As like all free flow event, I always try to go early to get a good spot to sit.

Even when I arrive at 5:30 the place already pack with people, all counting down to the free flow to start. I guess free flow always capture a big crowd to come over to enjoy some great time. Who can denied free flow?

The bar area is pack with beer bottles and liquor. I wish they have better bar area as the bar area is not that friendly to sit on, as this will be a busy bar place. Sitting at the bar will just block the way for waiter to get their beer.

For me, the VIP area is my favourite area, the place is cosy and comfortable to hang out with friends. It look a bit different from the rest of the area as this place is covered with wood panel and yellowish light.

For those who don’t know about their geography or have return the knowledge to their teachers, a big wallpaper of the world map is on the wall. This wallpaper is cool and does increase the ambient feel to the place.

I do like the model plane hanging on the ceiling. They even have window that look like airplane windows on their display cabinet. The one missing is those airline chair. It would be interesting if they make the bar chair like those in the airport. That would be fun.

By the time the free flow started, the crowd already pack up the place. The crowd even finish up the finger food in no time. Within minutes, everything is gone, even the beer.  That is how hungry we Malaysia are when it comes to free stuff.

Because it was a 3 hour free flow, I guess they never though that the free flow can open up most people flush gate and wallop up the beer in instant. For about 20 minutes, there was no beer serve, yet everyone is patiently waiting for the new batch of beer arrive.

Lucky for the crowd, more beer are bring in to safe the thirsty crowd. With new barrel of beer just put in, now everyone can drink again. Everyone is lining up to get their beer, as we Malaysian are one hungry ghost when it come to free beer.

MonoWings is an interesting outlet with their own unique theme. Do love to see MonoWings spread their love to other part of town and hopefully other Malaysia state. I do love pub with interesting theme. From Beerbeer, we would like to congratulate MonoWings for their Grand Opening. Now we hope every MonoWings anniversary they will have free flow of beer. Cheers!

June 8, 2010 - 9:53 am 1 Comment

Wow! So fast the time flies and Beerbeer.org already celebrated it’s second year. We will start by first thanking the reader that make Beerbeer.org getting more famous. Thanks very much for supporting us and for those that hate us… sorry… please try harder.

Sso many people turn out for Beerbeer.org 2nd anniversary event. But this event could not happen if we don’t have the sponsors to give us free beers and booze. First would like to thank Tom, Dick and Harry for organising this event for us and the sponsoring of beers, then we like thank Soren Ravn from Carlsberg to add in another 2 barrels, then we thank Sean from Luen Heng for adding another 2 box of Stella & 2 box of Savanna Cider and lastly we like to thank Bacardi for sponsoring us 3 bottles of Dewar’s.

I’m not too sure how many people turn up but I estimate around 200+ people during the peak. The 5 barrels of beers were gone within 1+ hour, which is quite amazing. We can’t blame you all for drinking so much as is a free flow party, everyone sure open up for more. As I have break my 4 pints rule.

The night is so jam, even going to the loo post a problem. Sorry for not keeping the live blogging all the way, as more people turn up, the harder to write, as I keep drinking and cheering and drinking then continue cheering and drinking….

“Yam Sing” is the hero…. I did so much that I got soar throat the next day, but it was awesome… haha, I’m not sure about you guys but I love the toast a lot.

The cup cakes was fun too. We bought 100 cup cakes to distribute around, so that everyone blow the candle at the same time. It was nice to have everyone sing “Happy Beer Day”… haha. As I was standing on the bench, looking down with so many candle lit up…. awesome. Thanks for those participate and bare with us.

Just before I forget, must thank the TDH staffs, crews, bartenders, chefs, cooks and waiters. The bartender is so busy, all you see is their back while the face the tap filling up those glasses.

I also must thank Deep (thirstyblogger.my) for the idea of hosting Beerbeer anniversary. Dude don’t forget to start our mission on protect the beer/alcohol drinker rights!

Thanks to Dewar’s for sponsoring the whisky that last us a while after the free flow finish. I know many complaints not enough beers, not enough foods, service are slow, didn’t get the cup cake and so on, we like to say sorry for that, hopefully we can do better next time. There’s always room to improve.

Thanks to TDH for putting us through the judgement (The Bong) with Connor’s Stout. A good pint of rich full body in an instant shove through the throat…. priceless. Liew next year we must send you to do it… haha

Of course, the crowd is nice and wonderful, too bad no girls give me their number, maybe because I didn’t comb my hair… haha. Thanks to Wai Git, Liew and Vincent for helping out on that night, hope you guys have a great time.

After so many thank you, the biggest surprise is the bouquet of flower we receive from Craft Brew, thank you Paul for that. Maybe next year we can held it in your place…. can consider? Start allocating the barrels for us… haha, but really Thank you for the flowers.

And below are some random pictures of the guest that came!

All good accept the one that show us the finger on our anniversary…. if you guys see him please help us whack him… haha we will buy you some beer.

So all barrels are gone, all drink are finished, what left back for Beerbeer.org is the good memory. I hope everyone enjoy a good night on that day. Thanks and Thanks again for those who make it happen and turn up. Hope we will have more event in Beerbeer.org coming to you. Cheers!
