Badminton & Beer

Are you a big fans of Badminton? For sure not many, but if you do watch this game the adrenaline that this game give is even better then a football match. Each smashes, each return and even the net play can make the anticipation of the game so excited.

I was watching the Wilson Badminton Swiss Open 09 in a nearby cafe. The match I watching is between Lee Chong Wei  (Malaysia) vs. Lin Dan (China). This 2 are the best player in Badminton, to watch them play is like watching Nadal vs. Federed in tennis. The game is so excited that I didn’t even order my drink. Until the first set is over.

When the beer come, I have a big gulp as the second set already begun. Point by point they match against each other, until Chong Wei start to lead further. During the match I drink not much of beer, I just sip through as I was just to excited towards game. In the end Lee Chong Wei (MAL) win against Lin Dan (CHN) in straight games 21-16, 21-16. Another classic match from those both of them.

After the game, I gulp the beer with relief as Chong Wei has won the game. This is the first time I watch badminton with beer. This is something different, compare to other sport. In football we drank through the games, in F1 we drank through the race, in basketball we drank through out the match but for badminton we have to wait till the game is finish only have the relief to have some beer. Then talk about it the whole night on the action we just watched.

Maybe is me, or maybe is just about this match that I long to see Chong Wei beat Lin Dan again. Cheers!

Too bad no live in national TV for the Swiss Open. I watched the All England though. If All England form was taken into account, I think Lin Dan was not in his element in Swiss Open final.

Both of them can read each other game very well. This 2 will be the best player for now, they are top of the game.
