A Place Of Pork – Sanbanto “三板头” @ SS2
Pork lover out there, a new place to discover. This place is called Sanbanto @ SS2, same rolled with KTZ and Rocket United. The shop have a unique set up, one side they sell pork another side serve them. So as a pork lover myself, I give this place a try.

The first impression in the shop is not the environment, but more of the aroma of pork smell linger in the shop. Don’t worry is not the fresh bloody kinda pork smell, but the light cooked smell of it. If you like to eat pork, this is sure the place to try. The place is cosy, with a funny setup. The dining area is at the right hand side of the shop.

At the front left area you have the pork selling area, which they only sell during day time. Maybe next time I can come here buy their own breed pig for my cooking. The unique of the shop is the pork they sell here are all breed by them in Johor. The so-called first certified ISO pig, which there are breed with different method by not using hormone and drug to grow them. I’m not too sure is the pork organic, all I can find is word like premium and hygienic, maybe is just the method of breeding.

At the left end of the shop is the kitchen, where you can see the chef and the helper busing preparing meal. The setup up is simple yet unique. It did remind me of Euro Deli.

Lucky for me they did sell beer, with all this cooked pork aroma smell, a gulp of beer will sure blend with the food. So far not much choices of beer are offered here as they are still waiting for the liquor license. As I believe later they will bring in wine and stuff.

The meal is delicious, only thing is the concept of the shop look a bit towards the Japanese style but the food they serve are more towards western. I wish they can serve good siew yok and char siew since this is the all pork shop. I felt this place got potential to grow, a must try place. Cheers!
