Kuala Lumpur, January 29 2010 – Building on the momentum of their Win Gold nationwide consumer promotion, the Official Beer of the Year of the Tiger, Tiger Beer surprised consumers at the Serdang Food Court with the Hold the Gold Bar stunt. Unbeknownst to any of the regulars of the popular food court, a Guinness Anchor Berhad rep brought consumers closer to the Year of the Golden Tiger by providing them with the once-in-a-lifetime chance to touch and feel two 1 kg solid gold bars worth over RM280, 000, the grand prize of their lucrative festive promotion.

Mark Jenner, Marketing Director of Guinness Anchor Berhad, who carried the gold bars to the venue escorted by armed bodyguards said, “The Year of the Golden Tiger is coming soon and what better way to reward our loyal drinkers than the Tiger Win Gold promotion, which will give drinkers the chance for an auspicious ‘golden’ start to the New Year. Further details of Tiger ‘Win Gold’ are as follows: -

• The Tiger Win Gold promotion provides consumers with the chance to win lucrative golden prizes, including the Grand Prize of 2kg of solid gold worth over RM280, 000, as well as limited edition Tiger 916 gold coins worth a total of RM 2.5 million.
